In Photos: Millions of Iranians Mark Islamic Revolution Anniversary, Rouhani Urges Following Its Footsteps

Millions of Iranians took to the streets in various cities and towns across the country to commemorate the 37th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
The victory of the 1979 Revolution, led by late Imam Khomeini, put an end to the monarchical rule of the US-backed Pahlavi regime.
Various Iranian officials joined the rallies in which they remembered the Revolution and voiced continued support for it.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani joined the rallies in Tehran in which he delivered a speech on the occasion saying in order to achieve objectives set by the Islamic Revolution all people should continue the path of Revolution.
Referring to the huge presence of people in the celebration rallies nationwide, the President noted: "I congratulate the great Iranian nation on the occasion and am thankful to the brave nation that is still present in the [political] scene like early days of the Revolution."
"Undoubtedly, we will meet all our aspirations, relying on the endeavor of the people, unity, and integration," Rouhani added as he hailed the country's security describing it a model in the region.
"The entire world is now watching the moves made by Iran in the region," Rouhani stated, stressing that: "We can meet all our goals with the help of people and guidelines of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution."
Relatively, Iran's scientific and defensive achievements, including the indigenous Simorgh [Phoenix] satellite carrier and the precision-guided long-range Emad ballistic missile were on display on the routes of the rallies on streets of Tehran.
