Initial reports said that the explosion took place in Pakistan's Federally Administered Tribal Areas, where security forces are fighting the Pakistani Taliban and other militant groups near the border with Afghanistan.

Although it was confirmed that seven people were killed, yet the cops suspect more causalities.

In further details, security forces sealed the entire area and a large contingent of police was called in to the location after the blast. Rescue workers started evacuating the bodies of the victims and those injured were rushed to the Hayatabad Medical Complex.

Although the exact nature of the blast could not yet be determined, officials said the attack appeared to be a suicide bombing.

Last week, a massive explosion took place near government run polio center in Quetta's Satellite Town in Pakistan. The massive explosion occurred when a team of anti-polio vaccination was leaving for the third day of anti-polio drive in the city in which 14 people were killed.
