Yemeni Forces Retaliate: Scud Missile at Al-Sulayyil Saudi Military Base

"The missile units of our heroic armed forces launched today a Scud missile at the al-Sulayyil missile base in Riyadh province ... it comes as a response to the crimes of the brutal Saudi aggression," the spokesperson of the army forces brigadier, Sharaf Luqman, said in a statement.

"The missile hit its target directly with high accuracy," he said.

Luqman indicated that the scud missile comes in response to the Saudi aggression and its sorties against the country.
Furthermore, he recalled the attack by the army and the Committees on the Saudi Khaled Bin Abdul-Aziz airbase in Khamis-Msheit in Saudi Arabia, during which a number of Saudi, "Israeli" and US commanders were killed, stating that it was a message to the Saudi-led aggressors to stop their oppression against the Yemeni people.

"Despite we have warned by targeting Khalid bin Abdul-Aziz airbase in Khamis Mushait as a message to the aggression states, topped by Saudi Arabia, in order to stop attacks and injustice against the Yemeni people," Luqam said.

"However, they didn't indicate it any interest," he further said.

In parallel, the military official stated in his statement: "For this reason, the missile units of our heroic armed forces fired a Scud missile today on al-Sulayyil missile base in Al-Dawaser valley in the province of Riyadh."

He stressed that "the rocket launch is another message to the arrogant states perhaps they may learn the lesson."

"We have lots of surprises in the coming days," he promised.

A Saudi-led coalition, backed by the United States, has been attacking Yemen since March 26- without a UN mandate.

The Yemeni army, backed by popular committees and tribal fighters have been responding to the aggression.
