A bomb attack hit a gathering of Houthis in central Yemen on Wednesday, martyring dozens of people, military and tribal sources said.
The attack targeted the residence of a local tribal chief in the central town of Rada, a military source said.
Dozens have been martyred in the dawn attack, the military source and tribal sources said.
The explosion was the heaviest to hit Rada since the Huthis took over parts of it last month [October], an official said.
Meanwhile, al-Qaeda militants frequently carry out attacks on Yemen's security forces and have been locked in deadly battles with Ansarullah fighters over the past months.
The Houthi revolutionaries, also known as Ansarullah, have driven al-Qaeda militants out of many areas in the country. They also played a major role in the ouster of Yemen's former dictator Ali Abdullah Saleh in 2012.
