German prosecutors said they have detained a Lebanese man and two other people over links to extremist groups fighting in Syria.
Two suspected so-called "Daesh" [ISIL] supporters were arrested in western Germany on Saturday. Authorities searched the homes of 13 more people suspected of links to the two groups.
Federal prosecutors said on Monday that one of those people, a German-Moroccan dual national identified only as Mounir R., has now been taken into custody over accusations that he provided ISIL with clothing worth 1,100 euros [$1,400] and transferred 1,000 euros to an ISIL member in Syria. They say he planned to leave for Syria soon himself.
Also, Lebanese national Kassem El R. was also arrested, accused of organizing the delivery of military clothing and boots to the extremist Ahrar al-Sham group.
