Imam Khamenei: Gaza Victory Realization of Al-Mighty’s Promises

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, His Eminence Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei, said on Thursday that the significant victory of Palestinian people in Gaza showed realization of promises given by God Al-Mighty, heralding greater victories in the future.

Imam Khamenei made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement of Palestine Ramadan Abdullah Mohammad Shalah in Iran's capital of Tehran on Thursday.

His Eminence expressed satisfaction with the Gazan people's victory in the 51-day aggression against seized Gaza resulting in humiliation of the Zionist forces and their failure to suppress innocent people, and this raised the hope that such successes will continue until the final victory.

The 51-day aggression in seized Gaza and firm resistance of its limited population in the face of the fully armed merciless military force backed by the global arrogance was very astounding, said Imam Khamenei.

Based on ordinary calculation and analysis, the Zionist regime benefiting from such huge facilities should have dealt the final blow on the first day of the aggression but eventually it had to accept the defeat and agree to the conditions set by the resistance movement, His Eminence said.

The Imam added that massive support of people in seized Gaza for the resistance movement and tolerating massive bombardments, merciless atrocities and carnage of over 2000 innocent women and children was a sign of God's blessing.

The will of God Al-Mighty is to help the Palestinian people attain final victory, underlined the Imam.

The resistance movement should be vigilant in dealing with the complicated plots of the enemies, Imam Khamenei said.

It is very likely for the Zionist regime to repeat its crimes in the future, warned Imam Khamenei, recommending the Palestinian resistance forces to maintain their combat readiness.

For any upcoming military confrontation, the occupied West Bank should be well prepared to play an active role and pose a threat to the Zionist regime as it faced in seized Gaza, His Eminence said.

The current situation in the Middle East region is very complicated and requires vigilance on the part of all people, added the Imam.

"May the God Almighty helps us resolve problems of Islamic Ummah and Palestine by thwarting plots of the enemies," Imam Khamenei said further.

For his part, Shalah expressed satisfaction with the rapid recovery of the Imam and said all members of Islamic Jihad and Palestinian movements pray for your health and wish they could say their prayings at Al-Aqsa Mosque with you as their prayer leader.

There is no doubt that the victory in the 51-day aggression against seized Gaza was attained under support of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he said.

The victory of the resistance movement in seized Gaza in fact belongs to the Palestinian nation that proved its patience and resistance in an unequal war, he further added.

Referring to remarks by Imam Khamenei on the need to equip the people in occupied West Bank for any future warmongering measures of the Zionist regime, he said this will boost the spirit of the Palestinian combatants.

Furthermore, referring to the promises given by some countries on the reconstruction of seized Gaza, he said, "We do not pin much hopes on such promises and only rely on God to compensate losses inflicted on us by the Zionist regime."
