Ya’alon Acknowledges Hizbullah’s Message from Recent Shebaa Operation
Hizbullah chose the "Israeli"-occupied Shebaa Farms, "which is far from civilian population, as a site for recent "attacks" for a good reason," Ya'alon said.

The Islamic Resistance announced
on October 7 the targeting of a Zionist manned patrol on the "Israeli"-occupied Shebaa Heights recently. It had detonated a bomb against the Zionist military vehicle near Sadana post, where a bomb targeted an "Israeli" tank, and wounded three "Israeli" soldiers.

Meanwhile, Ya'alon said he does not foresee an imminent "threat" from the North.
When asked, however, by Ynet that, "Before [so-called] "Protective Edge", you [Ya'alon] said Hamas was not interested in escalation, and we still found ourselves fighting it," he responded, "There's a possibility of 'miscalculation' in the north as well, and we're ready for that."

Concerning settlements in occupied Palestine, Ya'alon said, "From my point of view, it's right to continue building and continue approving building plans. We are building. Construction hasn't been frozen."

Moreover, he said that there is an excellent relationship and cooperation between the "Israeli" war establishment and the Pentagon, "but there are some topics we disagree on, like what to do about the Iranian nuclear "threat", what exactly to put on the negotiating table and what's the right thing to do facing our neighboring regimes."
