Cameron: British ISIL Militants to Be Treated as Enemy of UK

In remarks made on Wednesday during his Conservative party conference in Britain's city of Birmingham, Cameron said, "You have declared your allegiance, you are an enemy of the UK and you should expect to be treated as such."

Cameron said he would take any possible measure to prevent suspected British militants from traveling to the two Middle Eastern countries as well as from returning to the UK.

He listed a number of possible measures such as confiscating passports, prosecuting, convicting and imprisoning that will be taken against any Briton who is considering traveling to Iraq and Syria.

At least 500 Britons are believed to have joined the Takfiri terrorists in Syria and Iraq over the past two years. In addition, the British government says 250 others have already returned to the UK.
