Extremist Groups Serving ’Israel’: Shifting ’Focus’ of Legitimate Palestine Struggle

In the midst of the recent "Israeli" aggression on seized Gaza, extremist groups such as, "Ansar al-Sharia Bayt al-Maqdis", holding the title of "Supporters of al-Quds", shifted the legitimate and real focus of liberating the entirety of occupied Palestine, including al-Quds, to another area and illegitimate cause- to serve the Zionist entity.

These extremist groups are working highly-well to serve the Zionist regime and its goals by striking Syria and Iraq, targeting Libya and by being active in Yemen.

In other words, these groups have gone as far as to serve "Israel" by turning the struggle away from occupied Palestine towards other areas of focus in the region- away from "Israel" and from its Zionist interests.

 According to the Zionist Haaretz website on Monday, during the recent six-week "Israeli" aggression this year [2014], a new phenomenon was observed in the streets of seized Gaza, further highlighting the goal of serving "Israeli" interests in the process. 

As the "Israeli" aggression was happening and as the regime was carrying out ruthless assaults and putting an end to the lives of innocent Gazan civilians, [a large number of them children], the extremist group, Ansar al-Sharia Bayt al-Maqdis, was occupied with distributing literature in public in support of so-called "Daesh's" [ISIL] new "caliphate". 

Ansar al-Sharia Bayt al-Maqdis was busy handing out thousands of pamphlets and food aid as a way of spreading propaganda for the Daesh extremist group currently in Iraq and Syria, rather than calling for the public to resist the very Zionist entity's aggression as it was continuing.

The extremist group as well as others similar to it have been serving "Israel" in this very way by shifting the real aim and focus of resisting Zionist ambitions and liberating occupied Palestine to another area outside of "Israel" and to another cause that "Israel" itself wants it to be shifted to for its own interests. 

Furthermore, according to Haaretz, it said that a comparison between the previous "Israeli" aggression on seized Gaza in November 2012 and its recent hostility in 2014 highlights that "the pace and overall number of their [extremist groups] missile attacks on "Israel" were much lower this time around." 

In the recent aggression, the following extremist groups: Abdullah Azzam Brigades, Ansar al-Dawlah al-Islamiyyah Fi Ghazah, Jama'at Ansar Bayt al-Maqdis, Jaysh al-Ummah, Liwa al-Tawhid, and Majlis Shura al-Mujahidin Fi Aknaf Bayt al-Maqdis launched fewer rockets compared to the 2012 aggression, Haaretz noted.
