The Syrian army advanced towards the northern side of Tufail in Qalamoun and carried out a special operation, destroying five car bombs, confiscating three tons of explosive materials and detecting a factory which manufactures bombs and shells.

Syrian Army Destroys Largest Car Bombs Factory in QalamounFive car bombs were destroyed during the military operation, during which Syrian forces also seized three tons of explosives, al-Manar reported Saturday.

Citing a Syrian military source, a security military source described the operation as the most prominent achievement of Syrian forces since detecting a similar terrorist bomb-making facility in another border town of Yabroud in May.

Furthermore, the Syrian army ambushed a group of intruding militants on Flita barrens in Qalamoun, killing 15 and injuring dozens of them.

This is while government troops continued their operations against insurgent positions in Jobar and the areas surrounding it in eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside, destroying several underground tunnels and hideouts and eliminating numerous terror elements inside them.

While battles against Takfiri militants continue in Syria, the Syrian army has achieved major victories against the foreign-backed extremists in the country.

Syria has been gripped by deadly violence since March 2011 fueled by several countries who are reportedly funding the Arab and foreign militants, both with financial and military support
