Iran: Gaza Resistance Brought ’Israel’ to Its Knees

Iran said Wednesday that Palestinian militants had emerged the victors and brought their Israeli foe "to its knees" during the bloody 50-day Gaza conflict.

"The heroic Palestinian people have forged a new era with the victory of the resistance which has brought the Zionist regime to its knees," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

It further added: "This victory prepares the way for the final liberation of all the occupied lands especially al-Quds," congratulating the Palestinian people and the resistance groups in Gaza.

"The success to impose the demands of the resistance groups on the Zionist culprits in the uneven war of Gaza is the outcome of the sacrifices made by thousands of martyrs who fought to uphold the flag of resistance in the world despite non-human Zionist actions," it read.

Similarly, the Iranian House Speaker Ali Larijani confirmed that the "Palestinian resistance movements proved that they have the capability to liberate occupied lands."

He called for the immediate removal of Gaza blockade and realization of Palestinians demands stipulated by the cease-fire agreement.
