In a statement from Senegal's interior ministry, it said: "Senegal has decided to once again close the land borders with the Republic of Guinea," adding that this extends to "air and sea borders for aircraft and ships from the Republic of Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia."

Meanwhile, South Africa said non-citizens arriving from Ebola-affected areas of West Africa will not be allowed into the country, with borders closed to people from Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.
All non-essential outgoing travel to the affected countries has been banned.

Senegal also said it was suspending flights with Ebola-affected countries in addition to closing the border with Guinea.

Moreover, Cameroon and the Ivory Coast earlier imposed travel ban.

According to The World Health Organization [WHO] on Wednesday, the total number of deaths from the virus in the region has reached 1,350 people.
