Sami Kleib - al-Akhbar newspaper

This is neither the time for reproach nor for flicking through the accountability of Hamas. The important is that the Resistance wins in Palestine, because its victory means adds to shaking the piers of the other axis which protects "Israel".

Nasrallah Immunizes Palestine with the Dome of the ResistanceIn the other axis, there is not just the US and the West, but also a considerable number of Arab regimes.

This is the bulk of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah's speech on the Internal Day of al-Quds.
It is major that Hamas grasps the speech now at this very decisive moment because it knows well that a huge part of the current Arab regime does share "Israel" and its western allies the same goals" to stamp the Movement out.

The war is sought to be lengthened so that the infrastructure, ballistic capacity, telecom network, and leaders of Hamas should be all terminated. Hamas is also sought to be cordoned off after the war to be held responsible for the carnage and destruction without offering any help to it. Its rivals believe that this alone shall be enough to create a popular resentment against Hamas as a prelude to thwart it, on the popular level, subsequently. Therefore, the Movement cannot just wait for salvation from the states that overthrew allies like the Muslim Brotherhood; then how shall it assimilate Sayyed's speech?

First of all, what has the speech brought about?

Sayyed Nasrallah crossed Lebanon's borders. He succinctly and expressly said that Hizbullah backed the Resistance with all its faction without exception whatsoever. And by exception, Hamas is definitely meant. Not only does Hizbullah back Hamas, but it is also ready to do whatever it takes to support it. This is a huge commitment "Israel' should warily take note of because it implies a clear cut readiness to open another front against it, albeit everybody is convinced that opening a new front now is futile. Opening a new front now is feasible by a decision from Hizbullah, in coordination with Syria and Iran. The message is crystal clear.

Moreover, Hizbullah's Secretary General linked the "Israeli' war on Gaza to the bigger plot to the other axis in the region: "America is covering the war (...) the thrones of some Arab regimes was taken hostage to defend 'Israel.' We are now amid the most critical time ever since Palestine was raped. We are witnessing a systematic destruction and fragmentation of states, armies, people, and societies..." This being said, Nasrallah confirmed: "We feel that we are real partners of the Palestinian Resistance and its victory is victory to all of us." This plainly means that destiny is common.

Besides, the comparison Nasrallah established between war on Gaza and that "Israel" led against Lebanon eight years ago carries many salient and dicey messages for his rivals in Lebanon and abroad. In fact, "Israel's" failure in the past only entailed the failure of the so-called new Middle East and today's war on Gaza shall hamper the completion of another destructive scheme. Perhaps he was thinking exactly about what some Lebanese politicians and Arab leaders did then when he said, "I am sure that some Arab leaders are contacting Netanyahu to tell him to carry on the war; but it is the Resistance that will impose on 'Israel' the solution just like what happened in July 2006." We see here the decisive link between the two wars as well. He did it on purpose maybe, while relations between Hizbullah and Future Movement are almost severe, and while accusations are still lobbed against Saudi Arabia and its role from Syria to Iraq.

Furthermore, Sayyed paved the way for the return of Hamas to the axis of the Resistance. He frankly called for putting aside disputes and quandaries and to prevail the issue of the people, the Resistance, and the Palestinian Cause. He did not hide that there were disparities and incongruent political analyses or evaluations. But the key remains the victory if the Resistance. This is exactly where he intended to remind of the role of Syria, Iran, and Hizbullah in the political, financial, and military support for the Resistance in Palestine. Bringing back this support is very important now in order to put Hamas back on track.

The speech was also valuable for Sayyed Nasrallah, his party, and the axis he belongs to. This is a golden opportunity to redirect the compass. This is a historic moment to seize to attract the Arab people currently sympathizing with Gaza and its Resistance. When the Secretary General of Hizbullah shows utmost readiness for direct support to Gaza and its resistance and when he goes beyond any other consideration, he then counters the huge disappointment that had swept the Arab people caused by their regimes.

There is a big difference between a leader who says that your victory is ours and that you will triumph, and those who search for justifications to carry on liquidating the Palestinian Resistance and providing a political and diplomatic cover for "Israel."

Amid this present dangerous gory time of sectarian and confessional strife jolting the Arab nation, it is important that the leader of the Lebanese Resistance, of the Shia community, confirms that he and the Sunni Palestinian Resistance are one and that the battle of the nation against its rivals and enemies must rise above the sectarian and confessional tensions.

Linking between demolishing tombs by ISIS and other hardliners and the possibility to demolish al-Aqsa carried a wider and more global and comprehensive message by Sayyed Nasrallah. He mainly sought to accentuate the Islamic unity and the rallying around the Resistance. Here too, he linked the ongoing perilous schemes in the region to "Israel's" war on Gaza.

As to his final and most important message of all, it was addressed to the leaders of the other axis in the west and the Arab world. He meant the following: We will not leave the Resistance in Palestine alone. For "Israel' and the Arab regimes, Nasrallah's words are often taken seriously. Yet today, Nasrallah must be taken seriously more than any time before. While the region is vacillating between fragmentation and attempts for agreements, it is important that the axis to which Nasrallah belongs remains carrying, nay sending, messages of strength as they help in terms of deterrence and in paving the way for honorable settlements when it is time for settlements.

It is enough to skim through the thousands of comments that surged in social media following Nasrallah's speech to see that when the man speaks of Palestine, Palestine becomes stronger, and he becomes even more eminent.
