Sayyed Nasrallah Receives Call from Zarif, Meets Abdollahian, Jumblatt

Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah received Sunday a phone call from Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif during which they tackled the latest developments in Gaza.

The talks stressed the means of support to stop the "Israeli" aggression and lift the siege that is imposed on the impoverished Palestinian region.
This comes as Sayyed Nasrallah also met with Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and an accompanying Iranian delegation, in the presence of Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mohammed Fathali.

The conferees discussed the situations in Lebanon and the region in general and in Gaza in particular, demonstrating the ongoing terrorist, Zionist aggression and means to back Gaza's people and resistance.

Meanwhile, His Eminence also received the head of the National Struggle Front MP Walid Jumblatt, in the presence of the head of Hizbullah's Liaison and Coordination Unit, Wafik Safa.

The discussions also tackled the general situations in Lebanon and the region, especially the Zionist crimes in Gaza against the Palestinian people.
The two sides stressed that Palestine remains the central cause above all political differences.

They also expressed solidarity with the Palestinian people and the people of Gaza in their resilience in face of the occupation.
On another level, Sayyed Nasrallah discussed with Jumblatt the events in Iraq, specifically the displacement of Christians from Mosul.
They further highlighted that both the Christians and Muslim are being slaughtered at the hands of the takfiris.

Condemning this fact, the two sides emphasized the need to find means to protect Iraq's unity and political diversity.
On the internal front, the two leaders stressed the significance of energizing the government's work as well as the need for a speedy election of a new president to end the vacancy in the country's top post.
They also discussed the security situation, agreeing on the need to maintain internal cohesion, bolster security measures taken to consolidate stability in the country by raising the level of coordination among security agencies.

Moreover, Sayyed Nasrallah and Jumblatt tackled the political relationship between their parties, expressing intentions to further develop it.

The two sides expressed their satisfaction with the progress of the relationship between their two parties and stressed the need to develop it in order to serve the interest of the two parties and the national public interest.
