The number of al-Qaeda-linked foreign militants killed in Syria since the onset of the Syrian crisis in early 2011 has exceeded 9,900, a Salafi movement announced.


A sum of 9,936 nationals from Arab and Muslim countries have been killed since March 2011, the Salafist Movement in Jordan said.

According to the survey, 1902 of the dead militants came from Tunisia, 1807 from Libya, 1432 from Iraq, 800 from Palestine, 714 from Saudi Arabia, 571 from Yemen, 202 from Jordan, 71 from Kuwait, 42 from Somalia , 21 from Bahrain, 19 from Oman, 9 from UAE, 8 from Qatar , 3 from Sudan and 1 from Mauritania.
The movement noted that 828 of the slain militants were from Lebanon, while 821 were from Egypt.

The statistics further stated that the dead militants heading from Caucasus and Albania reached 30.
