Feltman: KSA Mad from US- Iranian Rapprochement, Doesn’t Want A Lebanese Gov’t

Some Lebanese officials and Arabs revealed Saturday that the Under-Secretary -General of the United Nations for Political Affairs [former US ambassador to Beirut] , Jeffrey Feltman, waged a harsh criticism campaign against the Saudi Arabia Kingdom.

Officials, who met Feltman on the sideline of the UN General Assembly meeting, quoted him as saying: "Saudi Arabia, seeks not to see any government in Lebanon."

The international diplomats' visitors informed al-Akhbar Lebanese daily that the latter said:" I haven't seen such a rude and a worse government as the Saudi one."
Feltman further added: "I do not know how this administration will continue to rule ."

He also tackled some of KSA's recent positions: "After the Saudi dispute with Iraq, the Saudi rulers decided to cut all ties with Baghdad."
"The Saudi officials reached the level that they no longer bear to see anything good in this country," the former US ambassador stated, and pointed out that "when the Saudis noticed the signs of American-Iranian rapprochement , they got mad."

Moreover, he unveiled that "the Saudi madness , reached the extent that their FM Saud al - Faisal , not only did not address his country in UN General Assembly meeting, but he also disturbed the audience."
"Is this level of hatred possible?" Feltman wondered.

Feltman pointed out that the Riyadh deals the same way with Lebanon ."They do not want to hear a word about Lebanon , not even the name of President Michel Suleiman . All this because of the Saudi bad management."
He also stressed that "Saudi Arabia does not want a Lebanese government at all , and it also disrupted everything in it ."
