The General Command of the Syrian Army accused the "biased channels of misdirection and bloodshed" of being responsible for the false allegations that the Syrian Army used chemical weapons in Damascus Countryside.

Syria Denies Allegations of Chemical Weapons Use: ’Israel’ Main Player in War In a statement issued on Wednesday, the General Command affirmed that those allegations are completely baseless and untrue, and they are part of the dirty media warfare on Syria.
It further reiterated its commitment to fulfilling its national and constitutional duties of combating terrorism everywhere in Syria as part of its duty to protect the country and citizens.

"The allegations of terrorist gangs and the channels that support them about the Syrian Army's use of chemical weapons constitute a desperate attempt to cover up the defeats they are suffering on the ground, and that these allegations reflect their hysteria, disorder and breakdown," it added.

The General Command called upon those who bear arms against the state to turn themselves in to the authorities before it's too late.
For its part, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said that the cooperation agreement between Syria and the international committee for investigating the use of weapons of mass destruction in some areas in Syria didn't please the terrorists and the countries supporting them.
"Thus, they came up with new false allegations that the Armed Forces used toxic gas in Damascus Countryside," it added.

According to the FM spokesman, "these allegations are false and untrue."
In parallel, he pointed out that "Syria has repeatedly announced that it will never use any weapons of mass destruction against its own people, if such weapons exist."
The spokesman said that these lies and allegations have become well-known to the Syrian government and people, and that the allegations constitute an attempt to prevent the international investigation committee from carrying outs its task and to influence the committee's report.
On another level, Syrian FM Walid al-Moallem considered that the "Israeli" interest in the events in Syria and the region became clear as the statements of the "Israeli" officials, that they would not allow the resistance to win, lead to this fact.
""Israel" is satisfied over the escalation of terrorism in the region, destruction of infrastructure, exhausting the economies, Arab armies, particularly in Syria, Iraq and Egypt... it is happy over the destruction in the region," al-Moallem said at a political review at the Foreign Ministry, in the presence of Syrian journalists.

He added that the Saudi regime seeks to inflame the situation and obstructs the convening of Geneva conference as it is the case with the US stance which disavows its understanding with the Russian side.
"Any political analysis to the ongoing events in Syria should start from observing the "Israeli" stance which intervened, as a main player, in the field when it raided and attacked three Syrian sites and received wounded terrorist in its hospitals," the Minister went on to say.

He referred to the harmony between the "Israeli" stance and that of the opposition abroad who welcomed the "Israeli" decision to allow arming the terrorist groups in Syria.
"The basis of the Syrian national stance is the independent decision... what distinguishes the Syrian policy is that it is independent and stems from the national interest," Deputy Prime Minister said.
Al-Moallem considered the US-Saudi stance as "directly influencing the opposition abroad which is presenting preconditions and does not adopt a clear stance on the participation in Geneva conference.

Concerning the situation in Iraq, al-Moallem said that the Iraqis are facing what the Syrians have been facing and they are exerting all efforts to combat terrorism on their territories.
Regarding the situation in Lebanon, the Foreign Minister said that there is a movement that offers weapons and support to the armed terrorist groups and another movement that did not hesitate to courageously support the stance of the Syrian state.
