5 citizens were martyred and 17 others were injured Thursday morning due to the fall of 5 mortar shells at the Sayeda Zainab graveyard.


According to al-Ahed news correspondent, the terrorist groups launched the shelling during the visit of the martyrs' families to the tombs of their beloved ones on the first day of Eid Al-Fitr.

The General Supervisor of the People's Committees in the Sayeda Zainab area, Sayyed Fadi Borhan, clarified that "the shelling of the armed groups came after they learned of the visit of the families of 197 martyrs to their sons."
He further noted that "the source of the mortar fire is still unknown as the armed militias use mobile launchers, so that they won't be discovered."

Other than this incident the capital, Damascus, enjoys a cautious calm during the first day of Eid al-Fitr.
Turning to Lattikia, the Syria Army targeted Thursday an armed terrorist group in Dourin village in Sulnfeh area, killing and injuring a large number of terrorists including non-Syrians.

A military source told SANA that among the killed terrorists were the Moroccan Karim Ayet al-Ma'moun, the Libyan Mohammad Ali Eliouh Dirz and the Tunisian Abo Ashraf al-Tunsi.

Terrorist Ahmad Namoureh, leader of the so-called "Asoud Jableh Battalion", was identified among the dead in addition to three other terrorists from the so-called "Ahbab Allah Brigade".
