Car Bomb Hits Jarmana: Dozens Killed, Injured

18 citizens, among them children, were martyred while tens others were wounded as a car bomb was exploded Tuesday at the crowded intersection of Khodr Street and al-Suyouf Square in Jaramana, Damascus Countryside.


Car Bomb Hits Jarmana: Dozens Killed, Injured "Terrorists blew up a car bomb with big quantities of explosives in the area which is crowded with inhabitants, claiming the lives of 18 citizens, among them 3 children and injuring 56 others," a source at Damascus Countryside Police stated.

SANA reporter said that the explosion caused fires to a building of four floors and material damages to the near shops and cars.
Meanwhile, the state television aired footage of wrecked shopfronts around the square and dozens of burned out vehicles.

The explosion struck at around 7:15 pm, when traffic was heavy as Muslims headed home for the Iftar meal that breaks the daylight fast observed during the holy month of Ramadan.

On the 25th of July, a terrorist explosion in al-Suyouf square claimed the lives of 10 persons.
