Nasrallah:US is no longer as powerful as before, LA Only Guarantee to Lebanon

Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah stated that the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon has a clear vision, goals, mission and path. This Resistance, according to Sayyed Nasrallah, enjoys strong faith, determination and will.

During the speech he delivered on the 19th of July 2013 at the Iftar held by the Islamic Resistance Support Association, Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated the importance of national dialogue in order to agree on a defense strategy, as well as the importance of preserving the Lebanese Army.
In the first part of his speech about the Resistance, Sayyed Nasrallah said "This Resistance has been seeking three goals, the liberation of Lebanese territory, which was occupied by "Israel" in 1982, the liberation of the captives and detainees remaining in [Israeli] prisons, and working alongside the Lebanese army and security forces to protect Lebanon."
According to Hizbullah SG, the Resistance does not bear full responsibility of protecting Lebanon, but rather takes part in protecting it, and hence will remain to do so until the liberation of the remaining occupied territories.
He went on to say "Not even for a moment do we claim that we have the same number of troops as the "Israeli" army, or weapons and equipment similar to those possessed by the "Israelis"; but this is the school of resistance, which does not endorse the classical approach about military, security, demographic and economic balance. Hence, "Israel" thinks twice before attacking Lebanon."

Lebanon is not outside the circle of "Israeli" danger, Sayyed Nasrallah believed, noting "There are real "Israeli" dangers to Lebanon." He iterated that "A popular Resistance managed to create a balance of terror protecting Lebanon from attacks through the Resistance's faith and proper utilization.
Sayyed Nasrallah expressed that discussing the legitimacy of the Resistance arms is to no avail, rather all should ask whether Lebanon needs the Resistance and its arms or not.

The US is no longer as powerful as before and no longer imposes its will on the world, Sayyed Nasrallah explained adding "The Resistance, which is supported by popular will proved its effectiveness, it is a firm and unbreakable Resistance as it is product of the collective consciousness."
Sayyed Nasrallah assured "We are always ready for dialogue without restrictions to discuss Lebanon's National defense strategy. We presented a defense strategy since 2006, but no one from the opposing parties discussed this strategy because these parties are not serious about discussing it."

More on the defending Lebanon, Sayyed Nasrallah assured that all the Lebanese want to protect and defend the country, particularly when there is an enemy that threatens the country and people.

"When an enemy threatens your people and land, it is your duty to fight and defend; this Resistance, hence, is naturally targeted because it proves to be effective. Its environment, supporters, and ideas will always be targeted."
His Eminence stated that the resistance is capable of overcoming all the difficulties, as the enemy is reviewing all its plans and calculations after what happened in the last couple of months.

He indicated "in any coming war, the enemy's eye will be on Galilee before Beirut... and from now on, no one can assault Lebanon without paying a price."
Sayyed Nasrallah further stated that the Resistance crushed the New Middle East project in 2006, despite the different types of targeting on the security, military, cultural and economic levels.

"We will overcome this period with the same clear vision and accuracy. This resistance is capable of triumphing over all present and future adversities," Sayyed Nasrallah pointed out.

Moreover, he urged the Lebanese to be careful especially in light of the current instability Lebanon witnesses, assuring that if the army is divided, there will be no more peace or stability in the country, there will be no state.
"The army should be preserved, it might have made some mistakes but this institution is not to be touched. The army is the guarantee to Lebanon's security and is the institution which brings sons of Lebanon from the different sects together."

In a final note, Sayyed Nasrallah called on the media to abide from creating tension and control the broadcast of inaccurate news.
