New Defamation for Holy Prophet: French Magazine Publishes Sacrilegious Cartoons

Once again, the Holy Prophet of Islam Mohammad (PBUH) is the target of another Western defamation.

After films, and insulting images, a French magazine chose to fabricate the life of God's messenger in humiliating cartoon.
In details, the French satirical magazine, Charlie Hebdo, published a 64-page special sacrilegious cartoon issue on the Holy Prophet.

Meanwhile, the editor of Charlie Hebdo weekly claimed that the publication titled "The Life of Muhammad", which was published on Wednesday, was a properly researched and educational work prepared by a Franco-Tunisian sociologist.
In response, the French government spoke out against the cartoons but refrained from any legal action: "There is no necessity to pour oil on fire," spokesperson Najat Vallaud-Belkacem told France 2.

This comes as Iran deplored some western media for promoting and supporting sacrilegious acts against divine sanctities and the prophet of Islam. It further called for trying and punishing those responsible for such acts.
In parallel, the Turkish government condemned the publication as a "mistake."
"To transform the life of the prophet of Islam into a cartoon is in itself a mistake," Ibrahim Kalin, senior political advisor to Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, wrote on Twitter. "Whatever the people at Charlie Hebdo say, this is a provocation."

However, the magazine has remained unapologetic.

The magazine has on several occasions published insulting cartoon versions of Islam's prophet in what it claims to be an effort to defend free speech, to the fury of 1.6 Billion Muslims who believe depicting Prophet Muhammad is sacrilegious.

In September, Charlie Hebdo published cartoons as protests were taking place in several countries over a US film humiliating the Holy prophet.
