Tehran called on the western states to drop their political approach towards its nuclear program and deal with it from legal perspectives.

Iran Urges West to End Political Approach, Talks Deadlock Iran's foreign minister said on Monday that it was time to end the country's long standoff with world powers over its disputed nuclear program.
"The parties have reached a conclusion that they must exit the current deadlock," Ali Akbar Salehi told the ISNA news agency.

In parallel, Salehi said he had "no information" when the next round of negotiations would take place, but expressed hope that negotiations would continue.
For his part, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast stated: "If it [the nuclear energy program] had been approached legally, we would have reached a conclusion more rapidly."

"We are a member of Non-Proliferation Treaty and our right has been defined," Mehman-Parast confirmed.
He further underlined that Iran's nuclear issue has been politicized by the western countries which think of using it as a pretext to exert pressure on Tehran.
