Reminding of the sacrifices of the thousands of Islamic Resistance martyrs, and renewing the pledge to the Resistance and its master to continue the plight until the liberation of each and every iota of the occupied land, Hizbullah held a central ceremony in the Sayyed al-Shuhada complex in Dahieh, the Beirut Southern Suburb on Monday.

The ceremony, incepted by the recitation of holy Quran verses, was attended by tens of thousands among which were martyrs' families.
The Lebanese national anthem and the Hizbullah anthem followed, after the military parade joined by the musical band. A flower wreath was placed on a memorial set up in commemoration and honoring of all Hizbullah martyrs.
Hizbullah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah then appeared via video-link to deliver a speech on the occasion, to first and foremost salute the families of the martyrs attending the ceremony held on 11/11/2012.

Recalling the 11/11/1982 sacrifice operation, in which self-sacrifice martyr Ahmad Kassir executed the Tyr headquarters that led to the death of hundreds of "Israeli" soldiers and injured dozens, also turned the headquarters into rubble, Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated that it has been the most powerful operation throughout the "Israeli"-Arab conflict.

30 years on the birth of the Islamic Resistance of Lebanon, on this day, Sayyed Nasrallah noted that the smiles, wills, good word, and teachings of the Resistance fighters and martyrs are enrooted in our souls and memory. His Eminence further noted that "30 years on that day, and despite the loss of the dear martyrs who have departed life, we enjoy victory and are happy to live the triumphs they have made, also happy to see they have arrived to the heavens." He assured "We must continue the path of martyrs and achieve their objectives."

"On this Martyrs day, the Resistance arrives at the age of 30; 30 years of hard work and strive, of effort, dangers, challenges, accomplishments and victories," Sayyed Nasrallah noted.

The Resistance, according to Sayyed Nasrallah, always reflects a strong and renovating generation, which sprouts from a past to which it adheres. "The present is the outcome of a past that lays the foundations for the future; this past is the sole source of inspiration which some Lebanese and Arabs want us to relinquish, and they want the Arab people to also forget our past," Sayyed Nasrallah added.

"We are attached to the history of the Resistance, from June 1982 up-to-date, and we are proud of our past," Hizbullah leader explained, adding "They want us to be part of a present mastered by treason and forgery, clearly it is hard for us to accept that collaborators with the "Israeli" enemy come and give us lessons in patriotism, and it is hard to accept that some who have such a history [a long history of collaboration with the "Israeli" enemy] try to teach us how to conduct a national defense strategy."
Addressing the core issue, resistance, which according to Sayyed Nasrallah is the major cause of the martyrs, he assured "We will remain to carry on our activity in the resistance framework, we will remain prepared to defend our country, we will remain to develop our capabilities on the different levels and we will continue to work without tedium or halt."

The Resistance chief guaranteed that Hizbullah will not cease to continue its work, which friends and enemies alike should not believe that what is happening in the region will affect the resistance.

Drone Incident: Deterrence Capacity

"We have reached a point where the "Israeli" enemy has acknowledged the deterrence capacity the Resistance in Lebanon has created," Sayyed Nasrallah declared, adding "this deterrence formula is supported by the equation of the Army-Resistance-People." He went on to assure Hizbullah does not await the acknowledgement of this deterrence power by some Lebanese sides, as long as all "Israel" acknowledges it.

Lebanon's deterrence capacity, according to Sayyed Nasrallah, was put in practice through the launching of the unmanned drone "Ayoub" by Hizbullah in October 2012.
In any military battle, the importance of information and data is a main factor, His Eminence said explaining "today, the Resistance is taking wide and important steps forward, and the "Israelis" know that the data collected by the ‘Ayoub' drone is capable of boosting the effectiveness of the Hizbullah rocket arsenal."

The data and intelligence gathering assures that the Resistance can hit any "Israeli" target, it is an essential part of the deterrence power, Sayyed Nasrallah confirmed

"The "Israelis" were not able to react to the drone incident owing to the deterrence capabilities the Resistance has created, and this let many sides down as they had wagered on an "Israeli" reaction," he stressed.
Notable it is that the March 14 coalition showed deep sadness to the Resistance development (embodied in the drone incident) at the time some of this camp's leaders ill-wished Hizbullah and secretly hoped that "Israel" would attack it, His Eminence highlighted.

Pointing out to the events taking place in the region, Sayyed Nasrallah believed that if it were not for the Resistance, "Israeli" settlements would have been already set up on Lebanese land, pointing out to the situation in Occupied Palestine as an example. "Gaza is being shelled every day while tens of victims fall martyrs and injured, yet no one is reacting. We are still witnessing the same lack of reaction on behalf of the Arab League since 1982 [i.e. since the Islamic Resistance was established]."

Sayyed Nasrallah referred to the latest "Israeli" attack on Sudan's capital Khartoum, and to the attacks against Muslims in Bourma, also known as Myanmar, questioning the absence of the Arab League, the UN Security Council and the Muslim and Arab worlds.
"Hence, what protects Lebanon, its land, sovereignty, and independence is its Army-Resistance-People equation. And therefore, we adhere to the choice of the Resistance and its arms, which is a moral and humane duty," Sayyed Nasrallah iterated.

Hizbullah Morals: Dialogue Table Open

Moving to the domestic level, Sayyed Nasrallah stated that Hizbullah has accepted to sit on the dialogue table -in which the defense strategy is discussed- out of a sense of respect and dignity. "It is our morals that allowed us to sit at the dialogue table with those who collaborated with "Israel"," he declared.

He recalled that none is bothered by the boycott of the dialogue table, and that the Resistance will remain to enjoy high morals and will remain on the dialogue table to discuss the defense strategy with those who would like to join.

Questioning if it is acceptable that some factions that have offered sacrifices to Lebanon in face of "Israel" are not part of the dialogue, Sayyed Nasrallah noted "The communist party and the Islamic Jamaa [al-Jamaa al-Islamiya], for example, have the right to take part in the dialogue, since they have offered martyrs in their struggle against "Israel"."
"Just like the other camp imposes conditions on dialogue, why can't we then impose our own dialogue conditions demanding the participation of these sides ?" Sayyed Nasrallah wondered.

Attempts to Sow Sunni-Shiite Strife

As for the Ashrafieh bombing, in which Internal Security Forces intelligence chief Wissam al-Hassan was assassinated, Sayyed Nasrallah said it was the beginning of a new crisis in Lebanon.
"When there is tension in the country, also in the region, this requires exceptional acts of responsibility to prevent tension and internal explosion," noted the Resistance Chief, iterating that irresponsibility in such circumstances could lead to crumbling.

Some Political factions belonging to the March 14 coalition quickly launched accusations against Hizbullah, Sayyed nasrallah said, demanding them to bring forward evidence if they have any. "At the time they refused considering any accusations against the "Israeli" enemy," he said.

His Eminence further recalled the events on the backdrop of the assassination, as March 14 launched political accusations and decided to boycott what they considered a Hizbullah-led government. Also, he reminded how gunmen had deployed in different areas in Beirut and Tripoli, while some blocked roads and intercepted cars.

On this note, and lauding the wisdom of the Lebanese people, Sayyed Nasrallah said they prevented strife from breaking out in Lebanon, especially in light of some politicians' recklessness, who backed the security chaos that took place.

"Some political factions affiliated to the March 14 coalition, particularly the Christians within this camp, and the West want a Shiite-Sunni strife in the country, they want to create an explosion that would serve their interests," Sayyed explained.

Sidon Strife-Free, March 14 Refuse National Unity

Commenting on the Sunday incidents in Sidon, in which Sheikh Ahmad al-Assir and his men erupted violence, Sayyed Nasrallah assured that Sidon will remain the capital of the South and that of the resistance.
"Some want to take Sidon towards sedition, in light of complete negligence of the Lebanese state," Hizbullah Secretary General said, warning from misleading rumors and lies.

He also called on all Sunnis and Shiites to be patient and show self-restraint, holding the state responsibility of what happens in the country.
Moreover, on the current government, Sayyed Nasrallah stated that the country is open to two approaches: consensus or isolation of political opponents, the second approach which the March 14 keeps adopting.
Sayyed Nasrallah explained that the March 14 camp does not want national unity whether in times of dialogue or during its absence, despite the fact that Prime Minister Najib Mikati has put his utmost efforts to form a national unity government.

On the regional developments, particularly Syria, Sayyed Nasrallah noted "We consider the end of hostility is in the interest of Syria and the Syrian people."
However, he added that "the danger is that the Syrian opposition refuses dialogue, and that could only be in the interest of the Americans and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton."

As for Bahrain, Sayyed Nasrallah assured that Hizbullah's fingerprints cannot reach Bahrain, questioning the accusations against it of being involved in the latest explosion that hit the country.
At the end of the speech, Sayyed Nasrallah renewed the pact and pledge to the martyrs and all those who sacrificed their lives for the Resistance.
