US: Supporting ’’Israel’s’’ Security Top Priority—More Money to Iron Dome Funding

In a usual step, the United States reiterates its support to the "Israeli" entity and vows to grant the Zionist entity more funds for its Iron-Dome.
The US is planning to grant more money to "Israel's" Iron Dome missile system designed to intercept short-range rockets and mortars.
"Supporting the security of "Israel" is a top priority of President Obama and Secretary (Leon) Panetta... they intend to request an appropriate level of funding from Congress to support such acquisitions based on "Israeli" requirements and production capacity," Pentagon Press Secretary George Little said in a statement on Tuesday.
Also, Congressman Steve Rothman, a member of the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, said in a statement that he is "pleased to see that Panetta and the Obama Administration understand the importance of and remain committed to funding the "rocket defense program", Iron Dome."
"We must continue to stand with "Israel" to make sure that our most important strategic ally in the region has the additional Iron Dome batteries it needs," he stressed. Rothman, a Democrat, said as a member of the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee, he will continue to work with colleagues to "robustly fund Iron Dome."
As for House Armed Services Committee Chairman, Buck McKeon, he said in a Tuesday statement that he is pleased that the President now acknowledges the need to increase funding, and looks forward to "working together to identify the additional resources necessary to help defend our "Israeli" friends."
The Obama administration and the US Congress allocated $205 million to "Israel's" Iron Dome system in the 2011 budget. The budget for next year demands $3.1 billion in military aid to "Israel", which is more than the current level and the highest for any foreign country.
Although the Pentagon statement provided no specific numbers, congressional sources said the purchase of 10 battery systems at a cost of $50 million each is likely to be requested.
