In the anniversary of the Islamic Resistance Leader Martyrs and a week on the passing away of the father of Resistance Leader Sayyed Abbas al-Moussawi, Sayyed Ali al-Moussawi, the Secretary-General of Hizbullah His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech in the ceremony held in Nabi-Sheet.

In his speech, Sayyed Nasrallah addressed the religious aspect of death as well as the honorable characteristics that late Sayyed Abu Hussein al-Moussawi owned.
However, the second section of Sayyed Nasrallah's speech was devoted to political internal and foreign affairs.

Mourning Sayyed Abbas's Father

Recalling that the "death of a dear and loved person is painful," Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that "our culture has taught us to accept death because it is God's will."
"No one can change, alter or eliminate his her fate," His Eminence explained advising that "everyone must remember in such moments this long stop in God's hands."

"Death is a preacher and a teacher that brings every one of us to his normal size and reality," Sayyed Nasrallah added.
Hailing the sacrifices and noble merits of late Sayyed Ali al-Moussawi, Sayyed Nasrallah unveiled that "despite his sickness and old age al-Moussawi continuously asked to fight and move to the resistance fronts."
"Sayyed Abu Hussein wanted to do something for the resistance as he was solid in his commitment to defending the resistance away from expectations or demands," Sayyed Nasrallah affirmed pointing out that he was ready to sacrifice everything for the sake of his dear son's will, the Islamic Resistance."
The Secretary General of Hizbullah further noted to the importance of realizing "the martyr leaders' legacy, which is the resistance."

"With this resistance we liberated our land in 2000, restored our prisoners, achieved our people's security and stability, and thwarted especially in 2006 the most dangerous US -"Israeli" "New Middle East" plans of dividing the region."

We Do Not Fear "Israel"

Commenting on "Israeli" Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu threatening of striking Lebanon, saying it would no longer appear on the new map of the world, Sayyed Nasrallah stated that "such remarks stem from the "Israeli" ideology of destroying others, which it did through murder, threats, and desecration of holy sites."

His Eminence also called for reminding others of the dangers of this enemy.
"Today in Palestine, the "Israeli" enemy continues its actions of cutting off the Palestinian territories, controlling over their land, killing the Palestinians and keeping thousands of prisoners in severe conditions parallel to attacking the sanctities of the Christian and Muslim holy sites," he explained.
Asking to search for the "Israeli" mentality that stands behind various practices in the world, the Resistance leader gave the example of the recent incident of burning the Holy Qurans in US and Afghanistan."

"The US administration does not lack any satanic characteristics but violating sanctities like this mirrors the "Israeli" mentality or I can say: the Jewish one," he confirmed.
"The Holy Quran tells us that violating holy sites and objects is part of their ("Israeli") mentality and they are seeking to create religious conflict. The Zionist agenda wants to create Islamic-Christian strife," Sayyed Nasrallah clarified.
His Eminence also called that "we as Muslims should be careful that when we defend our prophets we must not desecrate others' prophets, and you must search for "Israeli" hands behind the region's chaos."

Historic Developments in Region

Moving to the regional developments, Sayyed Nasrallah commented on the recent bombings that hit Iraq.
"Why is this proscription for the Iraqi blood? Who wants to destroy Iraq," he wondered pointing out that "hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have been killed in suicide attacks and bombings away from those killed by the occupation in order to prevent the establishment of an Iraqi state."
Reminding of Hizbullah's statements at the beginning of US occupation to Iraq, Sayyed Nasrallah reiterated that the ""Israeli" project aims at destroying Iraq because if it was allowed to recover it would be a strong country with huge potentials mentioning the fact that its people is intellectual."

"The "Israelis" do not want this type of Iraq as this is linked to their religious background and future expectations because the Zionists believe that the wind will come and rock again this usurping entity from the east i.e. Iran and Iraq," His Eminence mentioned.
"We must be aware that "Israeli" and US intelligence are penetrating disbelieving (Takfiri) groups when overlooking the continuous series of killing in Somalia, Pakistan and in some Arab countries," Sayyed Nasrallah acknowledged.
Warning that "upon deficit to control the authority of a country, the American-"Israeli" project restores to spreading chaos and destroying the country," Hizbullah's Secretary General stressed that "our responsibility in this stage is to face strife, chaos and destruction efforts."

Sayyed Nasrallah asserted that this ""Israeli" mentality that bombed and destroyed Lebanon doesn't fear us.
"This does not intimidate us. Benjamin Netanyahu, Ehud Barak, Ehud Olmert, and Dan Halotz, they all do not intimidate us. They can talk all they want," he said.
Stressing that before 2006, when "Israel" was invincible in the eyes of the people, it did not intimidate us. So, how about now?" His Eminence wondered noting that "these statements are part of psychological warfare that does not affect us."

Lebanese Security, Stability Important

On the Lebanese front, Sayyed Nasrallah urged not to deal with Lebanon as if it is an island in the Indian Ocean.
"The whole region, including Lebanon, is passing through a critical stage. We can't act as though Lebanon has nothing to do with these developments. Our security is linked to the region's security."

In addition, His Eminence explained that "when planning something for the region, they can't afford to ignore Lebanon's role due to the presence of the resistance and the equation of: the army, people, and the resistance"
"The tale of dissociating Lebanon is a settlement so that the government continues, but where is self-distancing?" He wondered asserting that "in face of US and "Israeli" projects in the region to spread chaos, what is required is to preserve Lebanon's security and political stability."
"Therefore, anything that might incite sectarian strife should be avoided," Sayyed Nasrallah said.

Reiterating that ""Israel" remains Lebanon's greatest threat," the Resistance Leader vowed "to confront it through the army, people, and resistance equation."
"Those keen on creating strife in Iraq and Libya want to spark chaos in Lebanon," he warned highlighting the importance of "avoid all matters that can create strife in Lebanon and Syria."

On the internal Lebanese scene, His Eminence added that "we can express ourselves without sparking sectarian tensions."
"All in Lebanon are entitled to their opinions, even regarding events in Syria ... but without using words that might be provocative," he stressed.
As Sayyed Nasrallah noted that "Lebanon till now succeeded in avoiding strife and chaos," he further stressed that "preserving the Lebanese government is important."

"Maintaining stability is a reason to preserve this government," he clarified pointing out that "this government must be productive and effective."
"When the government assumes its security, political, economic and administrative responsibility, it will be productive," His Eminence said warning that "there are some people who want to disrupt the work of the government and force its collapse."
"Today, I renew my calls for the government to hold meetings," Sayyed Nasrallah affirmed pointing out that "March 14" forces know that this government does not belong to Hizbullah."
"It sometimes sinks into a dispute, but I say that we are the most humble members of the cabinet. We are exerting all possible efforts and delaying tackling issues in order to maintain it," he moved on to say.

Calling the government to perform its duties regarding the Lebanese oil wealth, Sayyed Nasrallah viewed that "Oil is a blessing and unfortunately we have to take the lessons from our enemy."
"Netanyahu is working all day and night to exploit this wealth. This oil does not belong to "Israel", but to the Palestinians. "Israel" is working tirelessly and what are we doing?" Hizbullah's Secretary General wondered.
"Relying on foreign powers to tackle this issue is useless," he clarified explaining that "the US is controlling the world because it is wealthy."

"Lebanon cannot become independent if it keeps on relying on foreign aid, so why don't we speed up work in the oil file?" Sayyed asked.
Reiterating his denial that "the resistance had a presence in West Africa, Latin America or in any others countries," Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that "it is not true. We wish we had that kind of presence ... it would only mean we were growing in power internationally."
"We have nothing to do with "Israeli" claims that Hizbullah has bases in India and Georgia," he confirmed.

Solutions in the region

On the Syrian developments, Sayyed Nasrallah viewed that "we don't meddle in the affairs of others and I call for ending the problems of the Arab world through political dialogue. The Arabs are tackling the situation in Syria without a political solution."
"NATO is not seeking to intervene in Syria, while the US is pushing Arabs towards sending its fighters there. In Bahrain, the government is being prevented from reaching a political solution to the crisis," he stressed.
He also referred to the Bahraini situation, considering "a political solution in Bahrain is prohibited even if the government wanted it," in reference to a regional and international role there.

Moreover, he underscored that the incidents in Saudi Arabia constitute a harsh response to the protests taking place in Qatif and Al-Awamia.
"Protesters there are not calling for toppling the regime, they are rather demanding some reforms, rights and developments in one of the poorest areas in Saudi Arabia, knowing that it is one of the richest areas in oil," Sayyed Nasrallah said.
Sayyed Nasrallah concluded his speech as he reassured "As long as America and the West adopt "Israel" that violates Al-Aqsa mosque on daily basis, also violates the churches and mosques in Palestine, kills, and occupies lands, this will not be accepted.
