Imam Khamenei:Iranian Regime Strong, Capable, West’s Calculations Wrong
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Imam Sayyed Ali Khamenei said Wednesday that "the final word in all developments and moves on the social level is for people."
Stating that "the more the reform movement is close to people, the more successful it will be," His Eminence stressed that "throughout our history, there was a lot of sultans and rulers who were not connected with their people."
"The stronger the relationship between the people and the ruler was, the success would be more and vice versa," he said.
Delivering a speech in the city of Kermanshah, Ayatollah Khamenei added that "the Islamic revolution was the result of the movement of all Iranian people's segments and components."
" People did neither have weapons nor did they use them, but they were able to control the government-backed by all foreign forces and to win this brute force," His Eminence confirmed.
Expalining that the Iranian nation could inspite all the imposed seige turn the sanctions to an opportunity, Imam Khamenai clarified that "the sanctions was the reason for development in various fields so hat Iran become a model in the region that wasn't achieved through tens of years."
"Our young people are now doing great jumps in various fields and the international statistics show that," he pointed out noting that " our enemies in the West must know that this system is strong and capable due to the presence of people in all fields."
"Western calculations should not be wrong in some countries witnessing movements.Today in each country, people is the one that leads. It is the owner of determination and resolution,|" Imam Khamenei acknowledged.
"What motivates the last scenes in Egypt and Tunisia, is the failure of arrogant policies," Ayatollah Khamenei considered clarifying that " US that used to rule Egypt, Tunisia and some other countries is to face another scene."
"No one can stand against people's will. Today we have great responsibilities because we represent a model role to others and we must offer the right model at the level of security and national unity," he concluded.
