The Lebanese National Defense Minister Fayez Ghoson expected the issuance of the STL indictment soon, "perhaps in the next few weeks," pointing out that "immediately after issuance, the government will meet to discuss it and take a decision that preserves Lebanon's stability and puts away temptation that some want to appear as a result of this decision."

In an interview with "al- Binaa" news paper, Ghosn saw that "some people are willing to confuse and set pressures on the ministerial statement drafting committee through the exaggeration of indictment decision", hoping that "the completion of the last paragraph of the ministerial statement concerning the International Tribunal would be finished this week."

Denying rumors that talk about a rift in the new majority on dealing with the court's item, Ghoson stressed that the government will address the living and social problems and will place them on the right path, especially that the previous government did not give the living and economic conditions the priority.
"The mission of this government is to spare Lebanon risks and horrors, as well as to adopt high and respected performance away of malicious and revenge." The minister emphasized.

Ghoson, who confirmed that the Lebanese army is a red line that no one can overtake or surpass, noted that "the army suffers from a lack of gear and military materials, particularly the Air Force," expressing his welcome with friendly states that plans to arming and supporting our army.
Ghoson reminded that Lebanon does not accept conditional or dependent support.

Stressing the need to adhere to the Trinity (the army, the resistance and the people), the defense minister refused to see Lebanon without resistance unless sees the occupation ends on every inch of the Lebanese territories. "The resistance and the army did not contradict in the past and will not contradict in the present and in the future, but will work as one hand to guarantee the sovereignty of Lebanon and to confront the "Israeli" enemy."

On the other hand, he pointed to the relationship between Lebanon and Syria "that can only be good and excellent since Lebanon's security is from Syria's security and vice versa," considering what happened in Syria as a major global conspiracy praising the wisdom of President Bashar al-Assad and high patriotism of the Syrian people."
