Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyeb Erdogan expressed his country's readiness to help Egypt, which now has entered a new stage, calling for the importance of holding transparent elections with political pluralism.

Erdogan's statement came in a speech he delivered in the Parliament, in which he spoke about the recent developments witnessed by Egypt and Turkey's stance in this regard.

Turkish PM stated that his country will not hesitate since the beginning from supporting the demands of the Egyptian people, adding that Turkey is proud of that, considering what it seeks for itself it seeks for its neighbors and friends.

Furthermore, PM Erdogan stated that Turkey's goal is not looking for power in the region, but rather is to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East.

Recep Tayyeb Erdogan recalled and denounced former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak's policy regarding Gaza, its siege, and regarding the closing of the Rafah crossing.

Erdogan considered that borders will not separate brothers, and "Israel" will not succeed in installing barriers between nations.

He further urged the western countries to change their perspectives regarding the regional countries and peoples, considering it is more than just a source of petroleum.
