Head of the Doctors' Gathering in Lebanon Dr. Ghassan Jaafar assured that the visit of a delegation of the "Doctors' Gathering 2 to Break the Medical Siege on Gaza came in continuation to the first trip of the delegation to the enclave.


Dr. Najib Hamedeh, head of the second delegation which arrived from the Gaza Strip pointed out that the delegation did several surgeries to some children suffering of birth defects in the European hospital in the Palestinian city of Rafah.

Hamedeh, during a press conference held on Friday underscored there is a remarkable number of futility cases among the men and women resulting from the effect of Uranium (which was used during aggressions against the enclave), not to mention the repercussions of the unjust enclave that led to severe shortage in medical equipments and needs as well as lack of engineers and specialists competent of maintaining these equipments.

On her part, Dr. Aziza Ibrahim denounced the "Israeli" siege imposed on the Gaze Strip, especially when it comes to infants' milk and cancer treatment and medication.
Dr. Ibrahim displayed a list of required medicines the Palestinian Health Minister Bassem Naim delivered to the delegation to be delivered to the Lebanese Health Minister Mohammad Jawad Khalifeh.

The list includes growth hormones, anesthetics, and other medication and equipment needed for the surgery department, not to mention anti-biotic, anti-inflammatory, antidepressant medicines, also cardiac and hypertension drugs.

During the press conference, head of the Life Line 5 convoy and national coordinator of the Viva Palestina Kevin Ovenden warned from the Zionist scheme entitled "a short Palestinian Nation".
He also stressed Gaza's dire need to growth hormone drugs, as futility cases have increased among the Palestinian men and women due to the aggressive "Israeli" policy which encompasses use of chemical weapons and other inhumane aggressions.
