Syrian President Bashar Assad considered that the current "Israeli" government is "pyromaniac", and the chances of war in the Middle East increased after "Israel's" attack on Gaza aid flotilla.

In an interview with BBC news, Assad assured that Syria is working to prevent a regional war; however, he added that there is no chance for a peace deal with the current "Israeli" administration.

Assad said that even before the raid, he had not viewed the "Israeli" government of Benjamin Netanyahu as a "partner for peace" in the region.

"But realistically you had this danger before the raid because we had... other evidence about the intentions of this government, about the intentions toward the peace, about the intentions toward the Palestinians, the intentions to kill Palestinians", the Syrian President said.

Syrian president also rejected claims that Syria was arming Hizbullah in Lebanon.

The Syrian-"Israeli" relation have always been opposing, especially that "Israeli" occupying forces still occupy the Golan Syrian area.
