H.E. Sayyed Fadlallah Receives Hizbullah Secretary Genearal, Calls for Unity

Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Mohamad Hussein Fadlullah received Secretary General of Hizbullah, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Sunday 24th of January 2010.
In the first announced visit since July 2006, His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah paid Ayatollah Sayyed Fadlallah a visit to check on his health.

The two leaders discussed the overall situation in Lebanon, the upcoming stage and "Israel's" ongoing threats to the Arab and Islamic worlds at various levels amid the biggest attack targeting Islam as a religion and Muslims in their countries, movements and strategic positions.

Sayyed Fadlallah stressed on the importance of the consolidation of the interior to confront the enemy's threats and readiness on all the levels to prevent this enemy from making political gains.

His eminence also called for unity to ward off "Israeli" attempts to widen the gap among the Lebanese through accusing the Hizbullah leadership and the party's arms of being the reason behind a possible large-scale war on Lebanon.

His Eminence also stressed that the Lebanese were not given the choice between preventing or accepting the aggression, rather, they are all urged to consolidate their political, security, and military positions to overcome the "Israeli" schemes and prevent any new malicious Zionist adventure against Lebanon.

The Grand Ayatollah also highlighted the necessity of paying attention to the Islamic-Islamic relations, noting that the nation's enemies would not be able to achieve their goals and execute their schemes unless they push Muslims into the deadly trap of religious sedition and incitement.

Sayyed Fadlallah therefore called for concentrating all cultural, civil, and political efforts to safeguard the path of Islamic unity and preserve it in the face of all the current attempts to strengthen the culture of disparity and conflict.

His eminence urged all Muslims to stay committed to the nation's main causes and to safeguard unity within the Muslim community, calling on them to resist the invasion of the multi-faced Western administrations.

Sayyed Fadlallah concluded by urging all Muslims, whether Sunnis or Shiites, to take part in the battle of defense of Islam in order to face the international campaigns of distortion against Islam and Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). His Eminence reiterated that responsibility falls upon the Islamic scholars in first place, who are leaders of the battle of defending Islam and the Ummah.
