Ibrahim Al Amin

These are the same hands emerging from the rubble, bidding farewell. These are the same eyes in the decapitated heads looking for a champion. These are the same twisted and scorched bodies. It is like a premature state of sleep.

It is the Same Way of Killing, the Same Killer ... and the Same War!

This is the same punishment inflicted upon the patience of the oppressed and those who rejected the humiliation of their loved ones as well as strangers. The crime of saying "No" to the oppressors is treated the same. The price paid for disobedience and stepping out of line is the same.

The image is the same in Sana'a, and all of Yemen, and before that in Lebanon, Syria and Palestine. It is the image of Qana, where nothing but tombstones remain, and where the unarmed is a permanent target.

It is the same killer; whether named America, Britain, France, "Israel", or Al Saud. It is the same fire, sparing no freeman but buffeting him instead. Nor does it spare a defenseless man, scorching him instead. It is the same way of killing. It no longer needs a name or address. It is as if the killer desires to make killing our custom forever.

But the war is not the same anymore. They are not soldiers who stay in unreachable fortresses, and we are not the silent victims. It is war in its toughest form. But it is a form that marks the final rounds before the curtain falls, before the blood ceases to be spilt, and the voice mourning every oppressor rises.

It is the war that needs no further explanation or justification to be fought. It is the war that opens the doors for the final journey, towards a certain victory.

It is the war that the sane people were late to wage against the insane who ran out of luck, couldn't see ahead, and decided to walk euphorically towards the abyss.

It is the war that sings in one voice involving all Arabs no matter where they lived and suffered. It is a war with a single enemy; it was always one, albeit the delay in revealing the faces.

It is the war that began when the white man decided that we are not eligible for life in his world; on the day, he decided to enslave us in forms he modifies every day, every year, every decade, and every century. The white man is planting his gloomy image, an image as dark as the night, the image of the big killer, in the heart of everyone who cringed at him from our compatriots, who turned on us.

It is a war that no longer tolerates interpretation and frequent analysis. It is the war that tells us, every hour and every minute, that this is the only war that cannot be without blood spilt and without victory.

It is the war where it is no longer permissible to ask about the moderation and patience of the hesitant. It is a war that awakens in you a fire raging in the face of the killer. It is the war where there is no room for compromise. There is no middle ground in its path.

It is the decisive war the insane enemy declared; the descendant of the night, the descendant of bandits and the descendant of those who destroy livelihoods. It is a war where even whining can no longer be tolerated.

It is the war that belongs to all of us. Let's say, a war that belongs to everyone who is able to fend off the flames, carry his body, blood, and shroud with him, walk at a steady, clear and direct pace toward the real goal, not distracted by agents, scoundrels, or the subservient. It is the path that makes the outcome clear and unambiguous. It involves only the victor and the vanquished. This is where certainty awaits you.

We did not lack a massacre or martyrs to know that a single priority looms on the horizon. It is a priority to vanquish those demons, who are nostalgic for the days of ignorance; those who govern nations or regions in the form of communities or countries. It is the priority to say that there is no longer any difference between the House of Saud and "Israel". They are the killers, who are pillaging the land and those who are on it. There is no hope of freedom and safety, until their demise!
