Syrian Army Closing in on Aleppo-Raqqa Border

Military sources reported that the Syrian Army troops and allied popular units significantly advanced against Daesh [the Arabic acronym for the Takfiri "ISIS" group] terrorists in the southeastern parts of Aleppo province and are now moving towards the Euphrates and its nearby regions in Raqqa province.
Relatively, Fars News Agency cited same military sources as saying that: "The Syrian army, Liwa' al-Quds [Brigade], the National Defense Forces and the al-Ba'ath Battalions secured the southern bank of al-Hamourat Lake in southeastern Aleppo, while also making a substantial advance towards al-Maskanah Plain."
Al-Maskanah Plain is an area located along the Western bank of the Euphrates River [Lake Assad part], near the Jirah Military Airport and the Tabaqa Dam and Military Airport.
Back on Thursday, the army forces seized the main headquarters of Daesh in the northeastern neighborhoods of Khanasser town, whose full control was recently won back by Syrian forces.
Earlier, the Syrian army and allied forces retook full control of five villages in close vicinity of the strategic town leaving dozens of militants dead and wounded and destroying many enemy vehicles and other military hardware.
Tens of Daesh militants were killed and wounded during the operations and their vehicles and weapons were destroyed.
