IOF Official: Hezbollah Cyber Attack More Harmful Than Its Missiles

The "Israeli" Occupation Force [IOF] believes that a Hezbollah cyberattack targeting the entity's infrastructure would be more damaging than a missile operation.

"Hezbollah paralyzing ‘Israel's' infrastructure using cyber-attacks, for example, is in fact more severe in effect than Hezbollah using missiles to attack the Hadera power plant," a senior IOF official said, referring to the "Israel" Electric Corporation's Orot Rabin coal-fired power station located in the coastal city.

"This would cause only a few hours of power outages, which can be halted" relatively quickly, he added.

The "Israeli" entity's so-called Infrastructure, Energy and Water Minister Yuval Steinitz on Saturday afternoon declared an increased state of cyber alert for the country's energy and water infrastructure, taking preventative protective measures.

"Israeli" PM Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that the country's infrastructure was not affected by the attack.

Following the major cyberattack, much of the entity's critical military server network was posted on Sunday as being "under maintenance" until at least 5:00 pm, local time, according to the Jerusalem Post.
