Hezbollah Secretary General His Eminence Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah delivered Sunday a speech marking the 11th anniversary of the Divine Victory.
As His Eminence welcomed the huge crowd celebrating the occasion, he stressed that the late martyrs rejoice for our joy. "The martyrs sacrificed their lives so that we stay here on our land and they rejoice for our joy."
According to the Resistance Leader, Khiam as well as other border towns emerged victorious after 33 days of war. "The men and women of Khiam were victorious and refused the invasion of the enemy. Khiam and the other border towns fought for 33 days and remained steadfast despite aerial bombings."
He further praised the fact that at Khiam "Israeli" prison, the detainees recorded great steadfastness, adherence to resistance, rejection of occupation and refusal to submit."
Confirming that "the faithful people, the people of resistance, the men of God were behind the realities of July War," Sayyed Nasrallah underscored that " all the aspects that led to victory are now advanced."
In this context, he sent to the "Israeli" a sounding message: "Any "Israeli" tank or soldier whether in the air or on the land ...Any "Israeli" force will be faced with hundreds more like the power it faced in the Khiam village and Hujeir Valley."
"Now, 'Israel' is learning things from 11-years ago," he said, pointing out that "they are trying to find something here or there to prove to the "Israeli" settlers that they were victorious."
In a related context, His Eminence stated that "11 years on the victory, "Israel" still speaks of Hezbollah's forces and power ... its weapons, the type of weapons, the rockets, etc. etc. etc."
"Today, I tell you every time 'Israel' speaks of Hezbollah's weapons and its capabilities, it further endorses that Hezbollah was victorious in 2006, given that their aim was to crush Hezbollah."
Regarding the resistance's strength, Sayyed Nasrallah elaborated that "today there is a resistance, a serious one that doesn't know how to waste time and doesn't have a yearly vacation. It studies all regional developments as well as the "Israeli" arena.
He also assured that "the resistance has the best weapons it can possibly get. In all transparency, when it enters a battle it does so with a set goal. The enemy knows this problem."
"'Israel' is admitting to its failure in its main objective of defeating Hezbollah in 2006," Sayyed Nasrallah went on to say, noting that "every time 'Israel' holds conferences, they talk of their primary threat and fear i.e. Hezbollah."
As His Eminence reiterated that the resistance works for Lebanon's national good, he urged the Lebanese to acknowledge the value and importance of this resistance.
"This resistance works for the national good and not for the individual, religious or political goals."
"After the July war, from Aug 14, 2006 until today, it has gained strength. Even the enemy admits to this. Every time someone bet on the defeat of the resistance and today anytime someone tries to do this, they will lose this bet," he emphasized.
Once again His Eminence clarified that "when he speaks of the resistance, he addresses the enemy and never anyone inside Lebanon."
Meanwhile, he threatened: "As 'Israel' doesn't speak any more of a war against Hezbollah but rather against Lebanon, 'Israel' will have a massive price to pay in any coming war."
In this context, he recalled that "Israeli" politicians and even extremists have said the only way a war against Lebanon will be waged is if it is the last choice."
Undermining any chance of a new "Israeli" aggression against Lebanon, the Resistance Leader noted that the time of toying with Lebanon is over and "Israelis" themselves have owned up to the high cost of such a war and have said that war with Lebanon should not take place.
"They [the 'sraelis'] know that a war on Lebanon is no longer playing in the park because they know that in Lebanon there is a strength resembled by the tripartite equation ‘the people, the Army and the resistance'. If this equation is fulfilled, the "Israeli" will face big repercussions."
He further viewed that "the 'Israeli' decision to close the ammonia plant [in Haifa] came as a decision because they respect their enemy [Hezbollah]."
In addition, His Eminence advised "Israel" to find a solution for Dimona Nuclear reactor.
On another level, Sayyed Nasrallah commented on the recent US threats to Lebanon, emphasizing that "the US administration won't be able to break the resistance's will."
"'Israel' is counting on trump administration to be more strict on Hezbollah and the Lebanese government and the Lebanese people and friends of Hezbollah in Lebanon and the region," His Eminence mentioned, noting that "neither the financial sanctions not the American threat or pressure will be able to touch the resistance. They are troubling themselves."
Meanwhile, His Eminence mocked US President Donald Trump who doesn't know that Hezbollah is part of the Lebanese government. "Trump said the US and the Lebanese government are partners in fighting Daesh [Arabic acronym for "ISIS" / "ISIL"], al-Nusra and Hezbollah."
"He is someone doesn't know that Hezbollah is in the government, which the US administration says it is allied with. We were never above the Lebanese government, neither in his government nor in the previous ones."
In a related context, Sayyed Nasrallah mentioned that "Trump doesn't know that the Lebanese government had not gone into a fight with Daesh when he was speaking.
Now, the Lebanese government is going to fight Daesh."
"They say Hezbollah is a terrorist organization or a dangerous force in the region and Lebanon. Firstly, the terrorists are America and "Israel". Trump has all along the electoral year said that Obama and Clinton created Daesh. The wars in Iraq, Syria and Yemen are all a result of US and 'Israel'.".
In response, the Resistance Leader stressed: "Hezbollah is the force that fights and kills terrorists. Hezbollah fought and destroyed the greater "Israeli" scheme in 2000 and every day it continues to do so. Hezbollah is a part of the regional resistance that destroyed the great "Israel" in 2006."
"The time, when the "Israeli" used to threat and implement its threat ended and we are in the era of victory," he repeated, hoping that no Lebanese side is working with the US administration in its scheme against the resistance.
According to His Eminence, "Israel" announces that it doesn't seek a war with Lebanon because of its high prices, but behind closed doors, European and Americans threaten the Lebanese that if they don't do this or that, a war will be waged."
Citing the "Israeli" fear from Hezbollah, Sayyed Nasrallah stated that "if an NGO or a municipality plants a green tree on the border, "Israel" complains to the UN that someone is planting on the border but UNIFIL went and found nothing."
"Why is the 'Israel' afraid of a tree on the border today?" he asked, explaining that "they are supposed to have trees and we should have a desert. They want nuclear weapons and we are not allowed to have a gun. They want technology and want us to have donkeys. They want to be educated and want us to be illiterate. 'Israel' is allowed to have daily [incursions], weapons and radars on the border, but a Lebanese civilian is not allowed to stand on the border and even look towards to occupied Palestine. We'll go ahead and continue to complain to the UN Security Council. The "Israelis" are scared, the one who never used to be scared is now scared of a tree in a village or a man just going for a walk near the border."
To the Lebanese, Sayyed Nasrallah said: "When we are strong mentally, we will be strong civilians. Begin with yourself, your dignity and when we are strong, we shouldn't be afraid of anything. Go plant trees all along the Southern, Eastern and Bekaa borders. This protects the country and protects you. Needless to say the environmental benefits."
Moving to the developments in Arsal, he said: "What happened in Arsal and what is happening in Syria today is upsetting 'Israel', who betted on terrorists and takfirists."
"The defeat of Daesh in Syria means Hezbollah, Iran and the Syrian regime, headed by Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad will be victorious, this is what 'Israel' is telling the US."
Moving on to the situation on the Lebanese-Syrian border, Sayyed Nasrallah said: "In the near future, the remaining militants should be sent to Syria and the Lebanese Army will take over the areas."
"Once the Army goes up and sets up bases, we will withdraw and give them the area," he declared, assuring Arsal residents that "their land and quarries will be back to them in days, we are waiting for the Lebanese Army to begin its operation to eliminate Daesh in the outskirts."
On the Lebanese Army's coming battle with Daesh, Sayyed Nasrallah stated: "Lebanese President Michel Aoun in the Higher Defense Council decided to go ahead in this and today we have a national, sovereign decision to liberate a part of the Lebanese land which is occupied by Daesh."
He further urged all sides not to compare battles, especially that blood is the price. No one should put a timetable for this battle and no one compare this battle with Hezbollah's Arsal battle. I want to say that we are ahead of a massive victory.
"It's just a matter of time and we should be unified as a nation."
Commenting on the recent political discussions over the relations with Syria, Sayyed Nasrallah predicted that "it is only a matter of time before Daesh is defeated and there is a decision to finish it off."
"US today is negotiating Russia over its interests and the interests of "Israel" in Syria. The world knows that the Syrian state, its institutions, President and the army will remain. Behind closed doors, countries are telling the opposition in Syria that they need to work based on the fact that Al- Assad is the president and will remain president."
In front of these developments, Sayyed Nasrallah advised the Lebanese sides to think of our country's national interests. "Geographically we have the sea, occupied Palestine and Syria. Lebanon's benefit through Syria is much greater than Syria's to Lebanon. We are in need of Syria."
"Doesn't the Army need to take over the border once it's safe? Who is it supposed to coordinate with on the border? Our national interest is to have the border between Syria and Lebanon open and let agricultural products go and come from there. Once Iraq is opened and Jordan is opened, we will need to go through Syria."
According to His Eminence: "We are in need of talking to Syria. Let us put our political and personal interests aside and have dialogue for what is in the national interest."
Regarding Yemen, Sayyed Nasrallah said: "in Yemen there is a humanitarian crisis and a health disaster because of the US-Saudi aggression. The calls must be raised to lift the siege and end the aggression."
