’ISIS’ European Attacks: ’Israeli’ Opportunities and Threats
Jihad Haidar
Upon going deep into "Israeli" political rhetoric, one notices that "Tel Aviv" deals with the latest terrorist attacks in Paris, as well as the horrific atmosphere in most of the European countries, as if it is a an opportunity it should invest in. Officially, "Israel" intends to neglect the implications of these attacks, among which there are challenges that would not necessarily serve its interests.
However, the "Israeli" deployment, as an attempt, is focused on promoting the concept that resistance movements in Lebanon and Palestine are the as the terrorist organizations killing innocent people in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen...and Europe.
Most of those who practice this promotion are those who represent the top of the political pyramid in "Tel Aviv", Benyamin Netanyahu, whose philosophy is based on the principle that he expressed in person on several occasions, that defeating "ISIS" and leaving Iran and its axis is "a victory in the battle but a defeat in the war." Besides, he had another promotional slogan within the same context, in which he stresses that "it is impossible to say that there is a good terrorism and a bad terrorism," in an attempt to apply this concept on the resistance movements by classifying them in the same group as the terrorist movements.
Within the same deployment, Netanyahu works on portraying "Israel" as an entity that is able to offer security services for western countries against the terrorist threats. In addition, he describes it as a strong regional state that could be relied upon by European and western countries to fight "terrorism", according to the "Israeli" concept of this slogan.
As for the negative impacts that would affect "Israel" through these attacks, known but ignored by the "Israeli" leadership:
First, the emergence of "ISIS" and its branches as a terrorist threat to western societies, while "Israel" and western states try to focus on the axis of resistance, atop of which is Iran, as a main source of threat to the western interests.
Second, after the latest attacks, "Israel" fears the creation of a gap within western public opinion that would view Iran as a vital country in facing these terrorist threats. Meanwhile, their regimes, and for political colonial goals, attempt to recruit these groups against Iran and its allies. "Israeli" fear is caused by Iran's commitment to work against "ISIS" and its readiness to operate in Syria, while most western countries don't show any readiness for serious fighting against it.
Third, "Israel" is afraid of mutual interests that would be created between Iran and the countries working against "ISIS" based on the common enemy, and pushed by the nuclear deal between Iran and the big powers. Within this context, there is a sort of strand of thought in Tel Aviv that Iran is now considered in the west as a stabilizing factor in the Middle East. Therefore, Iran would be a wanted as an effective regional player, while what is required in "Israel" is for Iran to remain a side that threatens stability in the Middle East.
Hence, it is not surprising that Netanyahu announced frankly to Russian President Vladimir Putin, as reported by Channel 1 "Israeli" TV, which he is against the collapse of "ISIS", and this serves Iranian interests. This necessarily means that he supports "ISIS's" survival and support as long as it exhausts the axis of resistance.
